We believe
that every power plant can achieve more.
We exist
to unlock your plant performance and maximize its potential. We help you get more out of what you already have.
How We Do It
Identify blind spots
You cannot fix it if you cannot find it. Performance is tricky and problems are often hidden from the untrained eye.
Interpret the clues
We transform large amounts of data into actionable performance insights. We help you make sense out of what your plant is telling you.
Set the ‘accuracy’ bar high
We minimize the fog of uncertainty around your plant. We see what others don’t and leave no KW behind.
The Founders
Rafa and Koldo together bring 25+ years of experience at the forefront of the world’s most challenging performance engineering projects for major OEMs.
Each with 13 years of experience working at General Electric within this field, they have become experts in testing, diagnostics and optimization of power assets and have a unique ability to unlock performance on any plant around the world.
In 2023, Rafa and Koldo joined forces and co-founded TOPPS Technica, delivering on their belief that there is a better way to manage plant performance and coming together to make it happen.
RAFAEL ANGUITA, Co-Founder
During Rafa’s 13-year tenure at General Electric he worked on steam turbine & combined cycle performance modeling, testing and diagnostics, soon becoming a technical reference for the company and industry. In his final years with GE, he served as Technical Leader with a focus on single-shaft advanced control methodologies. He is currently a member of the notable ASME PTC 46 committee.
Prior to GE, Rafa spent two years as a performance engineer at Alstom Power France. Rafa holds a MEng. in Industrial Engineering from UCLM with master thesis at ENSEM University.
KOLDO ZUNIGA, Co-Founder
During Koldo’s 13-year tenure at General Electric as a performance engineer, he focused on gas turbine and combined cycle performance testing and diagnostics, becoming an expert in the field. Through his work has unlocked several millions-worth performance on countless plants around the world. He most recently served as LTSA program manager for the European fleet of GE power plants.
He holds an MSc. in GT Thermal Power and an MSc. in Astronautics & Space Engineering from Cranfield University. He is also a Chartered Engineer at IMechE.
